Are you locked out of your room and need assistance? Have you forgotten your ID card in your room?
Follow the instructions below!
During business hours, you will be given a loaner key to let you into your room. 工作人员 will check the loaner key out under your name. Make sure to bring back the loaner key once you are all set and before the office closes.
- If you live in the 学生宿舍, please visit the 住房 Office (10学术途径) to receive a loaner key.
- If you live in the on-campus apartments, you can visit the complex's mailroom to receive a loaner key.
If you are unable to get a loaner key during business hours, you will require a let-in service. A "let-in" occurs when a student is locked out of their on-campus living spaces and a UNH staff member gets called to unlock the door for the student.
- If you live in the 学生宿舍, please call (603) 862-2120 for a let-in service.
- If you live in the on-campus apartments, call your apartment's mailroom number for a let-in service.
Key Services Charges:
Loaner key services are free of charge. Each resident will receive a one-time charge of $25 for the first time they receive a let-in service. Beginning the second let-in, residents will be charged $100 per let-in. All charges will be processed via the student’s UNH financial account.
After business hours, all on-campus residents will call 住房 at (603) 862-2120 and follow the prompt to be transferred to the after-hour lockout services dispatch. You must wait by your room and provide some form of ID. If you left your ID in your room it can be shown once your door is unlocked.

失去了关键? Re-core and Room Combination Changes
- If you lose your key, please notify the 住房 Office so we can make the request to change the lock. Sign out a loaner key and complete the re-core form. The re-core process can also be completed by a phone call, please call (603) 862-2120. Please have your ID ready when you arrive. When the new re-cored keys are delivered to the office, 住房 staff will notify the students involved. Each student affected by the re-core must come to the office to pick up their new keys. A $65 re-core cost will be charged to your student account.
- For students in buildings with combos, we strongly encourage you not to share your room combination with anyone. Resetting the combination to a room, for a non-urgent reason, will result in a $25 charge to your student account.
- Please reach out to UNH 住房 as soon as possible if you have a safety concern relating to your room combination. Your fee will be waived.

I locked myself out of my vehicle, what do I do?
The UNH Police Department will come and attempt to unlock your vehicle (if it is your registered vehicle). During this process, you sign a waiver eliminating the University Police Department from liability for any damage done to your vehicle. After calling and requesting this service at (603) 862-1427, you must wait by the vehicle.
